SML Study Carrel and Bass Library Locker Policies and Usage: Bass Library Lockers

Locker Eligibility and Requests for Assignment

Lockers in Bass are available to current Yale students and faculty. They are reserved on a semester by semester basis and can be renewed at the end of each term. You will receive an email at the end of the semester asking if you wish to renew.

Requests for a locker reservation can be made at the Bass Service Desk, located in the Bass Library. Service is available all hours the desk is open so you may stop by at your convenience. You may also email basslibrary@yale.edu to set up a time to secure a locker. You will receive a key for the locker at the time you set up your reservation. There is a $50 charge for a lost locker key.

Guidelines for Locker Reservations and Use in Bass Library

Lockers are available in the Thain Family Café as well as on the lower level of Bass Library.

Items that are not charged to your account cannot be left in lockers. Food, beverages and bottles of water also cannot be stored in lockers. Lockers are subject to inspection at any time.

If you leave items such as ILL, Borrow Direct, or any Yale library items charged to your personal account, you will be responsible for all replacement fees if they go missing.

The library claims no responsibility for personal items left in lockers. We strongly recommend you do not leave items of value in your locker.
