The Yale Bookplate Collection contains examples of exlibris (bookplates), original sketches, correspondence, and a wealth of reference materials about the topic.

Overview

The Arts of the Book Collection, located in Sterling Memorial Library for many years, documents the arts that are used in the creation of the book.  From original examples to works of art in the book format, the collection is the largest component of Arts Library Special Collections.  This guide describes the available archival collections and provides links to online finding aids or a collection level record in Orbis when available.  There are well over 100 discrete collections so they have been grouped thematically to facilitate browsing:
