About

Until 1770, Secretaries were appointed pro tempore. The office of Secretary was created by vote of the Corporation. In 1995, the title of the office was changed to Vice President and Secretary.  The positions of Deputy Secretary, Associate Secretary, and Assistant Secretary were discontinued in 2019.
