Choosing a Journal for Publication of an Article: Scopus' SNIP

This guide features information resources useful for identifying major journals in all fields and details about them for those wanting to identify key journals or find publication details for known journal titles.

Scopus' SNIP

The SNIP was created by Professor Henk Moed at CTWS, University of Leiden. It stands for Source-Normalized Impact per Paper and it measures contextual citation impact by weighting citations based on the total number of citations in a given subject field. The impact of a single citation is given a higher value in subject ares where citations are less likely, an vice versa.

Please email me or use the Schedule Appointment button. In-person and virtual (Zoom) appointments are both possible. Please note that Science Hill is a 15-minute walk from central campus, and there is a temporary entrance due to construction.

My default ONSITE days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. During the semester (not during breaks!), I am onsite on Thursdays. I am OFFSITE most Mondays.
