Choosing a Journal for Publication of an Article: Scopus' SJR

This guide features information resources useful for identifying major journals in all fields and details about them for those wanting to identify key journals or find publication details for known journal titles.

Scopus' SCImago Journal Rank (SJR)

The SCImage Journal Rank (SJR) was developed by Professor Felix de Moya and it is a prestige metric based on the idea that "all citations are not created equal". With SJR the subject field, quality and reputation of the journal has an impact on the value of a citation. A citation from a source with a relatively high SJR counts as more than a citation from a source with a lower SJR.

Please email me or use the Schedule Appointment button. In-person and virtual (Zoom) appointments are both possible. Please note that Science Hill is a 15-minute walk from central campus, and there is a temporary entrance due to construction.

My default ONSITE days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. During the semester (not during breaks!), I am onsite on Thursdays. I am OFFSITE most Mondays.
