Bioinformatics Tools: Microbiology Resources

This guide contains a curated set of resources and tools that will help you with your research data analysis. It also includes those medical library workshops available at Yale University on many of these bioinformatics tools.

Microbiology Resources

BacDive - The Bacterial Diversity Metadatabase

ECMDBE. coli Metabolome Database. A manually curated database of small molecular metabolites found or produced by Escherichia coli (strain K12, MG1655). Currently 2717 small molecules with 1205 associated enzymes and 299 associated transporters. Each small molecule has 48 data fields describing the metabolite, its chemical properties and links to spectral and chemical databases. Each enzyme is linked to its associated metabolites and has 30 data field describing the gene and corresponding protein.

Integrated Microbial Genomes (IMG) support the annotation, analysis and distribution of microbial genome and metagenome datasets sequenced at DOE's Joint Genome Institute.  It is also open to scientists worldwide for the annotation, analysis, and distribution of their own genome and metagenome datasets
