Cushing/Whitney Medical Library Interlibrary Loan Guide: Loansome Doc

Loansome Doc Service

 Loansome Doc

Loansome Doc is a document ordering service associated with Pub Med, the system for searching MEDLINE at the National Library of Medicine (NLM). Users can select journal citations retrieved during a PubMed literature search and then order the articles using the Loansome Doc feature. The requests will then be routed through NLM to the Cushing/Whitney Medical Library at Yale University.   The Cushing/Whitney Medical Library will respond to the requests by either filling them from our collection or referring them to another library which owns the title. Articles will be sent via email in pdf format to the Loansome Doc user. We reserve the right to limit requests to 10 per day or 5 rush requests. The DOCLINE Symbol is CTUYAL

Additional information is contained in the Lonesome Doc Fact Sheet:

$25.00 per article owned by the Cushing/Whitney Medical Library

$30.00 per article if ordered from another library

$10.00 rush fee

All articles will be delivered electronically via email.

All requests are subject to copyright limitations and dependent on availability.
