New Haven Special Census (1967)

In 1967, New Haven participated in a Census Use Study. This study was intended to link data gathered by the Census Bureau to the data collected by local agencies and organizations, in order to inform city planning, policy, and social programs. The study also provided the Census Bureau with a trial run for data collection and analysis in advance of the 1970 Decennial Census.

The Yale University Library has the complete tabulations and documentation from the 1967 New Haven Special Census; these materials are currently being processed at the Marx Science and Social Science Library
