Remote Access to RefWorks

When you are not on the Yale network, you must use the VPN or proxy server.

 

Endnote or RefWorks?

Endnote is also available and does similar citation management. Some basic diiferences:

  • RefWorks is web-based and available wherever you have Internet access.
  • RefWorks has features that will let you share citations with others.
  • Endnote is software you install on a computer.
  • Endnote has more citation styles. 

You must pay for Endnote, Refworks is free to members of the Yale community.

 
 

About RefWorks

RefWorks will help you

  • save citations for books and articles
  • insert citations in a paper
  • format a bibliography

 

RefWorks is freely available to current Yale students, faculty, and staff. However, you must register to use it. Click here for instructions on getting started with RefWorks.
