Using Write-N-Cite to Format a Bibliography

  1. You must first save a copy of your paper.

  2. If you do not have RefWorks Write-N-Cite open, start Write-N-Cite from within Word.

  3. In Write-N-Cite select Bibliography.

  4. Select the desired "Output Style" from the drop down list and click on Create Bibliography.

  5. Save this new document with a new name.

  6. If you later decide to edit your Word document, make changes to the first saved document (the unformatted paper with no bibliography).

 

Formatting a Bibliography Without Write-N-Cite

  1. Open your RefWorks library. Select Bibliography from the top level menu.

  2. Choose the appropriate Output Style from the drop-down list.

  3. Check Format Paper and Bibliography.

  4. Enter the location and file name of the saved Word document to be formatted.

  5. Click Create Bibliography.
