Lawyer, U.S. congressman, Justice of Supreme Court of Connecticut. Correspondence, account books, journal of the Circuit Court (Oct. 1791), legal forms and day books.
Roger Sheman Baldwin, 1793-1863.
Lawyer, governor of Connecticut, U, S. senator, delegate from Connecticut to National Peace Conference (Washington, 1861). Son of Simeon Baldwin (1761-1851). Correspondence, legal and miscellaneous papers, material relating to church affairs, account books, bank and business day books, and materials concerning the peace conference (1850-61).
Simeon Eben Baldwin, 1840-1927.
Lawyer, founder of American Bar Association, professor at Yale Law School, Chief Justice of Supreme Court of Connecticut, governor of Connecticut, president of various historical, legal and academic organizations, author of books and pamphlets. Grandson of Simeon Baldwin (1761-1851). Correspondence, lecture notes, lectures and articles, financial accounts and records, and materials concerning the International Law Association and Yale Law School.

Lawyer in Chicago and Boston. Son of Roger Sherman Baldwin (1793-1863). Correspondence reflecting aspects of the growth of Chicago in the 1850s and reactions to the question of slavery in Kansas.

Lawyer in New York. Great grandson of Simeon Baldwin (1761-1851). Correspondence reflecting concern over affairs of New York City, the bettering of the indigent and the establishment of honest city government. Also materials concerning New York City politics, administration and taxes.
