COVID-19 Library Policies and Procedures

The dynamic nature of the Covid-19 pandemic has necessitated a flexible and frequently changing set of policies at Yale University Library with regards to access to materials and buildings. Visit the Library's COVID-19 Update page for the most recent situation.

Note that physical materials that are currently available digitally through HathiTrust Emergency Access are not available for check out. To view the ebooks on HathiTrust, follow these instructions.

This research guide is meant to offered a more tailored version of the more general South Asian Studies guide, focusing specifically on the study of forestry, environmental history, and environmental studies in the area broadly known as South Asia. In addition to area studies specific resources, there are links to more general guides on Forestry and Environmental Studies, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Statistics and Quantitative Data, and the like.

For Spring 2021, I am revising this guide for students in Professor Sunil Amrith's undergraduate seminar on the Environmental History of South and Southeast Asia. Please feel free to email me with any questions and set up a virtual consultation as needed.
