Individuals Borrowing from Yale
Yale libraries will generally accept article requests from individuals unaffiliated with the university. The fee is $20 per transaction for domestic customers and $30 per transaction for international customers. Prepayment is required in the form of a check; credit cards and money orders are not currently accepted. Delivery comes in the form of a PDF file. Requests are subject to copyright.
Individuals unaffiliated with an institutional borrower may not request loans from the university library collection, that is, print works and microfilms will not be sent. Individuals are free to make requests through their local public or institutional library.
Libraries that are not part of OCLC or similar networks may still request items from the Yale University Library collection. Individual lending terms may vary based on the collection to which a particular item belongs.
Requests may be placed using the lending webform located at http://ill.library.yale.edu/lending/. This form may only be used by non-OCLC libraries.
Requests for a password to log into the request form should be submitted via email to email@example.com.
Loan or copy requests typically cost between $20 and $30, and may be higher for institutions outide of the U.S. Cost will be stated in our reply to your request, and an invoice will be provided with the item.
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for information about borrowing from Yale. Libraries should refer to Yale's policies page on OCLC for information about institutional lending relationships and membership.
