Royal Society of Chemistry Open Access Vouchers: Home

Yale researchers are eligible to to publish their paper in RSC journals without paying the standard article publication fee. This guide explains the application process.

Overview

The Gold for Gold program ended in March 2017.

The Yale University Library is partnering with the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) to support open access publishing under the Gold for Gold initiative. The program offers voucher codes that enable researchers to publish their paper in RSC journals free of charge, as a Gold Open Access article, without paying the normal article publication fee.

Benefits

An open access article is available to all readers without any barriers to access, increasing the visiiblity of the research. RSC offers authors the choice of making their article open access. If you choose this publication route, you would normally pay an article processing fee after peer-review and acceptance. However, by using a voucher code, the fee is waived.

Eligibility

You are eligible to receive a voucher if

  • You are affiliated with Yale University
  • Your article has been accepted for publication in an RSC journal in 2016.
