Accessing Arts Library Special Collections: Welcome!

This guide outlines the steps required to request items to view in the ALSC reading room, how to then request an appointment (required) in the reading room, and how new users can register in Aeon.

Welcome to Arts Library Special Collections (ALSC)

This guide explains how to request items from our collections; how to make an appointment to view these items in our Reading Room; and how to register in Aeon if it is your first time using Special Collections materials.

In response to the rising number of COVID-19 infections in New Haven and across Connecticut, the Yale University Library will close all library buildings and spaces to users at the end of day on Tuesday, Nov. 24. Special collections reading rooms cannot accept new reservations at this time. If health and safety guidelines permit, libraries will reopen to users who are authorized to be on campus Jan. 5, 2021. Watch this site or the ALSC website for updates regarding services for the month of January 2021 and Yale University's Spring term.
