South Asian Studies Resources: Senior Essays: Home

The guide is designed to support students working on senior essays relating to South Asia.

Mahabharata, 1850. Persian MSS +94, Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Libary

This Guide is intended to give South Asian Studies (SAST) majors and other senior essayists with starting to think about their research and the resources available to them through the Yale University Library. Generally speaking, South Asia refers to the following modern states:

Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka

In addition to a annotated selection of library resources and major publications, I have also included more general information on the research process and the use of primary and secondary materials in  academic research. Of course, any interested students should email the South and Southeast Asian Studies Librarian for personalized advice and tailored resources.

Related Guides on South Asian Studies, Forestry and Environmental Science, GIS and Maps, Statistical Data, and so on are available in the LibGuides listed below.
