Getting Started with Workspace: Home

A guide to using Workspace by LSEG, formerly known as Refinitiv

Refinitiv is now LSEG

The parent company of Refinitiv is simplifying their branding and as part of this, Refinitiv will change to LSEG. Over the coming months, the new brand will roll out across their different product interfaces. Aside from the branding changes, everything else will remain the same.

About Workspace

Workspace features market data, company financials and filings, earnings estimates, transaction data, analyst research, and more.

This platform replaced Thomson ONE and provides access to similar content. It was also previously known as Refintiv Workspace or RWS.

Step 1: Register for an Account

Students, faculty and staff can request a Workspace account using an @yale.edu email address at https://my.refinitiv.com/productregistration.html.

When registering for an account, complete all fields on the form.

This includes the Reference field: Choose the appropriate category (Faculty/Staff, Graduate Student, Undergraduate Student)

Account requests are reviewed daily. Requests submitted over the weekend will be reviewed on Monday. Account requests for new, incoming students will be reviewed & approved in August 2024.

After requests are approved, new users will receive a welcome email directly from Refinitiv (customerzone@refinitiv.com) containing access instructions.  If you cannot find your email, you can try using the Forgotten your Password link on the sign-in form or you can contact the Business and Management Librarians.

Individual researcher accounts will automatically expire on May 31 and may be renewed for the following academic year in late August.

Alumni access is not available.

Step 2: Sign in

Registered users have two options for using Refinitiv Workspace:

Option 1. Workspace Web Access - Sign in to the platform using any internet browser.
