Yale Access to Major Italian-Language Newspapers

Yale Library access to Italian newspapers includes print, online and microfilm. The links below are for digital access, which in many cases involves overlapping database coverage. For other formats, including print and microfilm, search by Journal Title in Orbis or Books+. Current issues and browsing is limited for Italian papers (see selected list below). A full listing of browsable issues of Italian newspapers and magazines on Press Reader is here.

In Factiva and Nexis Uni one can search in specific news sources, but it may be easier to do a general search (limited to "Italian") and then select the sources from the filter on the left

  • Factiva: click "x" on "English under the language tab, then select the arrow under "all languages" and select "Italian". Search by keyword, adding date limits to narrow your search. Click on "examples" for suggestions on how to build complex searches combining or excluding terms
  • Nexis Uni: Advance search, click on "news," limit by language. Search by keyword; flter by publication
