Getting Started with LSEG Tick History: How to Search

Accessing and using LSEG Tick History on the DataScope Select Platform

How to Search

Step 1.  Create an Instrument List

Instrument lists define the instruments to use in the extraction or download.

Tip: Tick History uses RICs as identifiers. Use the Historical Search screen to discover active RICs for a specified historical date range and then add them to an instrument list. Alternatively, RICs can often be found in LSEG Workspace.

Step 2.  Create a Report Template

Report templates determine data fields included in the download.

Step 3.  Schedule an Extraction

Schedules define the details of the extraction or download and can be immediate or planned for a future date.

Step 4. Retrieve the Extraction

Download the results of your search in this step.

Step-by-step instructions are available in the Tick History User Guide.
