While the renovation is in progress all public services, including the reading room where researchers consult collection materials, will be temporarily relocated to the Franke Room in Sterling Memorial Library. Franke is immediately to your left as you enter the library through the main (High Street) entrance.
Manuscripts and Archives will be closed to all researchers beginning at 4:45 PM on Friday, December 15, 2017. We expect to reopen to researchers at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 17, 2018.
Please note, however, that that our opening is subject to change.
The temporary Manuscripts and Archives reading room in the Franke Room in Sterling Memorial Library (SML 175) will close for research use at 4:45 PM on Friday, December 15, 2017, so that we can begin the move of the department's public services operations back into the newly renovated Manuscripts and Archives reading room.
The reading room is expected to reopen for researcher use in our iconic reading room (SML 150), in the Wall Street wing of Sterling Memorial Library across from the Memorabilia Room and Lecture Hall at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 17, 2018.
