Dean's Advisory Council on LGBTQI+ Issues
The Dean’s Advisory Council collaborates with other groups to cultivate visible supports and a vibrant, connected community of LGBTQI+ individuals and their allies at YSM. The Advisory Council helps guide the expansion of LGBTQI+ health research, and coordinates efforts to foster an inclusive, patient-centered environment in which tailored care is available for LGBTQI+ patients. Furthermore, the Advisory Council oversees initiatives that prepare our trainees to serve all of their patients with excellence, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Studies Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Studies (LGBTS) at Yale promotes innovative interdisciplinary scholarship and teaching on the historical and contemporary experience of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, and transgender people. It also fosters critical analysis of queer and normative sexualities, the formation of sexual and gender minorities, and the role of sexuality in culture and politics across the world. It has a national and international reputation for its faculty, lecturers, fellowships, prizes, and symposia.

Yale Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Drawing on history, literature, cultural studies, social science, and science, it offers interdisciplinary perspectives from which to study the diversity of human experience. Gender—the social meaning of the distinction between the sexes—and sexuality—sexual identities, discourses, and institutions—are studied as they intersect with class, race, ethnicity, nationality, and transnational movements.
