Often we may have the article you want online. Start by searching our Electronic Journals and Books tool. Make sure to search for the journal title, NOT the article title.
If we don't have it online at Yale: You can request a PDF copy from the library. A library employee will retrieve the journal, make a copy of the article, and email it to you. If we don't have a hard copy to scan here at Yale, we will place an Interlibrary Loan request for you.
You MUST be on the Yale network, or if off campus, logged in to the Yale VPN to access online articles and e-books.
To find an e-book (available online), search for the book title in our Electronic Journals and Books tool.
If you want a hard copy or the book you're seeking isn't available online, check Quicksearch which searches Yale library catalogs. Click on the record, then look for "Request recall or delivery" under the "Available from" heading on the right:
If you've searched Quicksearch and can't find it, check Borrow Direct or place an interlibrary loan request and we will try to obtain a copy for you from another library.
Getting a copy of an article or a book can be confusing. Don't hesitate to call or email me for help.
