Yale is home to over 1,100 prints, drawings, and illuminated manuscripts by the visionary English poet and artist William Blake, a concentration unmatched anywhere in the world.  These works span the collections of the Yale Center for British Art, the Yale University Art Gallery, and the Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library.  Apart from its unparalleled holdings of primary sources, Yale is also a rich repository of secondary sources in Blake studies across its library system.

The Reference Library at the Yale Center for British Art has a particularly comprehensive collection of critical material related to Blake’s importance to the histories of both English literature and British Art.
