The papers consist of correspondence, writings, genealogical notes, and other papers, principally those of Salisbury. Included are materials on various branches of Salisbury's family gathered in his genealogical research. Also included are papers and correspondence of father Josiah Salisbury (1781-1826), mother Abigail Breese Salisbury (1780-1866), wife Abigail Phillips Salisbury (1814-1869), and business papers of uncle Samuel Salisbury (1739-1818) and cousin Stephen Salisbury (1746-1829). It also includes Salisbury's correspondence with a number of Yale professors and his contacts in Germany and France.
Describes titles digitized in spring 2013 as part of the Arcadia 4 grant. Includes a list of the titles in Zotero format, which can easily be imported into other Zotero bibliographies. Some items from Salisbury's "Oriental Library" were included in this project.
