Welcome to the course guide for Global Affairs 5030! As this course has an international focus, you may wish to consider resources from a variety of regions. I have organized the resources by world region, and you can navigate to the different areas by using the tabs at the top of the guide. These resources have a wide range of chronological and geographic coverage. These resources are mostly pulled from reference sources, government information, and NGO reports. Below, you will find search engines for directly searching IGOs and NGOs and some generally useful websites for think tanks and other groups which produce policy papers.
Use the Intergovernmental Organization Search Engine (a Google custom search) to search across hundreds of IGO websites:
Use the Non-governmental Organization Search Engine to search across NGO websites. Sites were chosen based on their consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and also collated from University of Minnesota Human Rights Library, Duke University Libraries' NGO Research Guide, and the World Association of Non-Governmental Organizations (WANGO).
PolicyArchive, CIAO, and PAIS are good starting points in the search for policy papers. Check out the other sources below, or the tabs for Think Tanks and NGOs/IGOs, for additional resources.
