Music Library Study Carrel and Locker Policies and Usage: Lockers

Locker Eligibility and Requests for Assignment

Lockers in the Gilmore Music Library are available to current Yale music students and faculty. They are reserved on a semester by semester basis and can be renewed at the end of each term. You will receive an email at the end of the semester asking if you wish to renew.

Requests for a locker reservation can be made by speaking to Zachary Haas in the Circulation Office, located on the main floor of the Gilmore Music Library. You may also email musiclibrary@yale.edu to set up a time to secure a locker. You will receive a combination code for the locker at the time you set up your reservation.

Guidelines for Locker Reservations and Use in Gilmore Music Library

Lockers are available in the basement, old stack area, of the Gilmore Music Library.

Library materials that are not charged to your account cannot be left in lockers. Food, beverages and bottles of water also cannot be stored in lockers. Lockers are subject to inspection at any time.

If you leave items such as ILL, Borrow Direct, or any Yale library items charged to your personal account in your locker, you will be responsible for all replacement fees if they go missing.

The library claims no responsibility for personal items left in lockers. We strongly recommend you do not leave items of value in your locker.
