ProQuest TDM Studio is a cloud-based tool enabling text and data mining on content that the Yale Library licenses from ProQuest. This includes current and historical newspapers, news wires, trade journals and magazines, and theses and dissertations.
TDM Studio gives researchers the ability to analyze large textual datasets.
TDM Studio offers two ways of working with the data--Visualizations and Workbench:
1. Visualizations, which currently offers geographic analysis of datasets of up to 20,000 documents create an account or log in here.
2. Workbench, which requires programming in Python or R and is currently available to research teams upon request. Workbench offers access to thousands of publications.
Current Yale faculty, students or staff with a netID can request a workbench. Each workbench can support up to 5 researchers at a time. You can always add new users later. Once your workbench is created, you will receive a confirmation email that includes instructions on how to get started. To request a workbench please complete this form.
