Yale Library Walking Tour: FAQ & Contact

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I enter to win the prize?

Return your completed tour booklet (with at least 8 stickers collected from Yale's libraries) to the Bass Library service desk by 5 p.m. on Aug. 30, 2024.

2. What is an individual study room in Bass Library?

Individual study rooms are highly sought-after study spaces in Bass Library! These are small study rooms with a table, chair(s), lighting, and outlets, suitable for one to two people. They are typically only available on a first-come, first-served basis.

3. Who is eligible to win the prize?

All current Yale students are eligible! When entering, you will be asked to submit your Yale Net ID for student status verification and for contact purposes, should you win the prize.

The prize winner will need to sign a Terms & Conditions before receiving the key to the study room.

4. Where can I find library hours?

Before visiting any library on the self-guided tour, check library hours on the library website at library.yale.edu/visit-and-study.

5. Can I enter to win the prize more than once?

Only 1 entry per person is allowed.

6. Can I visit more than eight libraries?

We would love it if you visited more than 8 locations! That said, you only need to collect a sticker from at least 8 libraries to be entered to win, and additional stickers will not count for additional prize entries.

7. How will the prize winner be contacted?

A librarian will contact one student via their @yale.edu email on Tues., Sept. 3, 2024.

Be sure to check your spam folder!
