The collection consists of autograph letters, business papers, and legal papers, in French and English, almost all to or by Canadians. The papers also contain an account book of Morse's transactions with the Yale Art Library and correspondence relating to the Howe family of Nova Scotia, chiefly Joseph Howe's duel with John Croke Halliburton.

The collection consists of correspondence, receipts and other records that document business and commerce in the vicinity of Dawson, Yukon Territory, in the early twentieth century. The bulk of the material spans the dates 1906 to 1913, with one letter from 1903. The Bank of British North America correspondence documents the activity of the Dawson branch and includes correspondence from grocers, wholesalers, miners, jewelers, and insurance and real estate agents. Landahl's Emporium correspondence documents the wholesale and retail purchase and sale of goods. The Canadian Department of the Interior Records consist of reimbursement receipts and receipts for mining permit fees, documenting the survey and inspection of mining and timber resources in Yukon Territory.

Joan K. Jackson, as a graduate student in sociology at McGill University, began a diary on the experiences and views of her husband Stanley K. Jackson and of his fellow students to their medical education at the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The diary covers Stanley W. Jackson's third and fourth years at McGill and a year of internship at the Royal Victoria Hospital.

The records include correspondence, minutes of meetings, office files, financial and legal papers, and memorabilia of the New England Grenfell Association, founded in 1914 to promote missionary and medical work in Labrador and Newfoundland.
