HVAC Consulting

During construction and renovation projects, it is important to protect collections from dust and debris. Working with Facilities staff, the Office of Environmental Health and Safety, and outside consultants, Preservation Services consults with librarians and curators to ensure collections are not exposed to construction dust and debris.

It is also critical to ensure that heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems work properly to control temperature and relative humidity. Preservation Services acts as a liaison between facilities operations and libraries to ensure that HVAC systems are functioning optimally and accurately in order to preserve library collections.

If a construction or renovation project is planned for your department or unit, or you need assistance with the functionality of your HVAC systems in collection spaces, please contact me.
