Social Science Data Resources: Welcome

Guide to finding resources for research related to the social sciences.

About this guide:

In this guide, you will find resources containing or connecting you to data commonly used for research in the social sciences.

Subject and course guides often contain data or statistical resources in specific subject areas, and are also a great way to connect to subject librarians who can help you with specific requests.

Know a data set that should be included?  Send suggestions!

Looking at racial bias

Our research practices are influenced by our learning and experiences--this adds richness but also bias.

Librarians at the University of Minnesota have created an excellent resource to help researchers with Conducting Research Through an Anti-Racism Lens.   This guide will inform and help evaluate both data and research methods in primary and secondary research.    Not every problem is addressed but provides valuable and thoughtful questions to help you make your research projects robust and more well-rounded.
