Getting Started

Welcome to the course guide for Agrarian Societies! As a multidisciplinary course, you may wish to consider resources in a variety of disciplines. We have put together resources from Anthropology/Archaeology, Environmental Studies, History, and Political Science. These resources have a wide range of chronological and geographic coverage. Primary and secondary sources are highlighted throughout to assist you as you complete your coursework.

Key Bibliographic Databases

The following databases provide a great starting point for finding scholarly journal literature. Some are narrower in scope, while others are broader and multidisciplinary. Often the articles will be available in PDF full-text format, but, if not, links will appear that you can follow to request any articles of interest through the library's interlibrary loan (ILL) service.
