Infectious Diseases Section Diversity Equity and Anti-racism Roadmap (ID2EA): Fourteenth Roadmap

Information

In this event, Dr. Greenwald discussed his book “Blindspot: Hidden Biases of Good People” (2013) and his research characterizing our implicit biases, which are often in direct conflict with our conscious beliefs and ideologies. He discussed how ‘blindspots’ in our mind cloud our judgement about people’s abilities, potential and even character.    Prior to the event, participants were asked to take the Implicit Association Test (IAT) which was designed to measure implicit biases using mental associations.  This test can be accessed at: Project Implicit
