Medical Library Spaces

wellnessroomWellness Room (SHM L 113B) -  Located in the Morse Reading Room
A space for all Yale and YNHH affiliates to enjoy a quiet moment away from work and study environments. Use this space to engage in quiet contemplation, de-stress, reflect, or participate in a wellness activity. Activities can include meditation, yoga, prayer, stretching, breathing exercises, mindfulness activities, and general relaxation breaks.
 

privacy boothsPrivacy Booths (SHM L E-Level Study Space)
These free-standing modular privacy booths offer a soundproof space for visitors to take phone calls, have meetings, or focus on tasks in complete silence. The booths are equipped with an adjustable desk, power outlets, and dimmable lights. Additionally, a high-powered fan cycles fresh air into the booth every minute. 

 

Library Resources

HappyLight

  • Boost your mood and enhance your energy with the help of light therapy! The Medical Library's HappyLight can be checked out at the circulation desk and is available for loan for up to four hours.

  • Being Well at Yale
    Being Well at Yale offers a variety of wellness resources for the Yale community, focusing on physical activity, stress reduction, mental health, and nutrition. It features programs such as meditation sessions, yoga, and wellness scholarships, aimed at supporting holistic well-being.
  • Yale Drop-in Meditation
    The Yale Community Drop-in Meditation program offers casual group meditation sessions that are open to both beginners and experienced practitioners. These sessions, available on Tuesdays and Fridays, provide an opportunity to explore meditation's stress-reduction benefits in a supportive, welcoming environment.
