Office of International Students and Scholars The Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS) is here to answer your questions and help you with any problem that you may have. We are your resource on immigration matters and our dedicated staff is here to assist you with problems concerning your immigration status, as well as with any concerns about your social and personal adjustment to life in the United States and other personal matters. Yale Visitor Center
The Mead Visitor Center is the front door of the University and welcomes its visitors from around the world. It is located at 149 Elm Street, across the street from the New Haven Green.

Drop by for information about Yale or to take a guided tour led by Yale College undergraduates. Groups of 10 or more visiting the campus are required to schedule a private tour. Private tours and foreign language tours are available for a fee by appointment.

Transportation to and from New Haven

Transportation to and from Farmington

Public transportation:

There is no public transportation directly to the Lewis Walpole Library or connecting the Library with the Yale New Haven campus.

Train: The easiest train station to get to is in Berlin, Connecticut. The Hartford Line and Amtrak "Shuttle" service between New Haven and Springfield stop in Berlin and run several times daily.

Let us know ahead of time, and we can meet you at the station in the Library car.

Bus: Megabus now offers service to Hartford, including service between New Haven and Hartford.

All-day parking at the York Street Garage and shorter term parking (4 hours or less) at the Broadway parking lot afford easy access to the Yale Center for British Art, Sterling Memorial Library, and the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library. It is generally easy to walk around the main Yale campus and downtown New Haven.

Shuttle
