Do you need to find information on oil fields or the oil and gas industry for your course's problem set (or a paper)? If so, you've come to the correct place! This guide will walk you through a few very helpful concepts and resources that we have available locally.
- Search strategies in Articles+. This page will show you tips and techniques for locating information about very large (and very new) oil fields in Articles+ using several key facets.
- Reports, Articles, & Industry Research. The information you need won't be in just one place — you'll need to make use of a large cross-section of our article & abstract databases to find what you need.
- Online reference and research materials. Depending on what you need, you may need to consult a Treatise or two — such as the Treatise on Geomorphology or Geophysics or Geochemistry. These contain entries signed by eminent researchers that provide topical overviews and key information about concepts.
Some energy-related information is held in other subject guides, such as those used in F&ES. Below, please find a list of other places that will be helpful if your question is really sticky. You can also email me (see the contact info at the right) with questions.
