Finding eBooks

Catalog records for eBooks appear in Quicksearch, both in the Basic Search of Catalog and in the Advanced Search. These links have already been set to retrieve eBooks.

  • From a new search, click in the left box on the Books format, and the Online format to limit to eBooks.

EBooks also show up in Articles+, and links may appear in other databases as well. The link at left has been set to retrieve eBooks.

  • When you are filtering a set in Quicksearch Articles+, remove the limit for Journal Articles (look above the list of results and click on the X) as well as for Scholarly Publications (includes Peer-Reviewed) (uncheck the box at left).
  • When starting from the results of a Quicksearch search, you must click on the Articles+ link on the left, or the View and filter link next to Articles+ to remove these defaults.
  • Then look in the Content Type facets on the left to see the Book / eBook limit. Also limit to Online only.
