Decisions:

• Keep the look-and-feel of LibGuides 2 as close to LibGuides 1 as possible
• Look into producing documentation regarding the use of <h3> and <h4> tags

Discussion:

Keep the LibGuides 2 look as close to LibGuides 1 as possible.  The current design is pretty recent.  Changes to the look-and-feel could change design workshops.  We should do something conservative and make people aware of how they can snazz their guides up (note:  LibGuide authors have a very limited ability to change the look-and-feel of their guides).  We like the idea of having other "Yale" colors to use in the tabs.

If we start from a vanilla installation of LibGuides, we should:

• Keep the full YUL header
• Keep the blue background/white text for the box headings
• Keep the H1 (page title) font and color
• Suppress breadcrumbs
• Retain YUL <h3> and <h4> styles
• Use Verdana
