Paul Pfeiffer (1966) is a sculptor, photographer, and video artist. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Pfeiffer's family moved to the Philippines when he was ten years old. Pfeiffer returned to the United States in his teens and went on to earn his BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1987 and his MFA from Hunter College in 1994. Pfeiffer currently lives and works in New York City. He is known for his innovative manipulation of digital media and often recasts the visual language of mass media spectacle to examine how images shape our awareness of ourselves and the world.
