Precious Okoyomon (1993) is a Nigerian-American artist, poet, and chef. Currently based in Brooklyn, Okoyomon was born in London, England and spent much of their early childhood in Lagos, Nigeria. Their family moved to the United States in 2000. Okoyomon worked at the renowned restaurant Alinea for two years while attending the Great Books college Shimer in Chicago. With an intense interest in the nature world, their multidisciplinary artworks often take the form of immersive habitats. They have also published poetry, written a play, and cofounded Spiral Theory Test Kitchen, a collaborative queer cooking collective.
